MY BACKGROUND IN BERLIN

In early 1992, Guido embarked on his architectural journey in Berlin, where he joined Architekturbuero Claus Winter, based in the historic East Berlin suburb of Prenzlauer Berg. As a part of a dynamic team of 14 individuals, Guido honed his skills and gained invaluable experience over three years.

Under Claus Winter's tutelage, Guido delved into various projects, with his debut as project lead on a 10-unit residential complex in Berlin-Pankow. It was an era where all drafting was painstakingly executed by hand, yet Guido navigated through with finesse, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

Guido's tenure in Berlin not only enriched his architectural prowess but also instilled in him a profound understanding of energy-efficient design principles and the intricacies of managing an architectural firm.

These formative years became the cornerstone of his later success upon his return to Australia, where he established his own thriving architectural practice.
